Union Square eatery makes national list
Bronwyn, a soon-to-be-launched restaurant in the former Ronnarong Thai Tapas bar space, landed on Eater‘s national “40 Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of 2013” thanks to chef Tim Weichmann’s mouth-watering sneak peek of “unique hand twisted Bavarian Sausages like Miltwurst and Currywurst, to exciting artisan breads –rye Bier bread, giant Pretzels, Honey-Poppy Challah –to northern Italian noodles and dumplings.”
Yep, it’s a smorgasbord of Middle European goodness. Sausage … good.
In fact, Weichmann–who named the eatery after his wife Bronwyn– that he’s exploring cuisines from “Germany, Austria, Alto Adige and Eastern Europe.” Of course, Bronwyn will have a full bar, boasting wines and Schnapps from Austria and further East, as well as creating a rockin’ Bier list that will have Czech and German specialties.”
Bronwyn, located at 255 Washington Street in Union Square, is slotted to open in February. Click for the lowdown.
