Weekend Sports Wrap: Militia Keep Rolling, Breakers Take First Loss

The Boston Militia posted their fourth shutout of the season Saturday, defeating the Maine Lynx 65-0 and advancing their record to 6-0 on the season.

The defending WFA champions loaned some of their own teammates to the Lynx, who could not field a full roster, but still posted the blow-out home victory. The Militia have now outscored their opponents 325-13 in 2012.

Boston now takes to the road for their last two games of the season, playing the DC Divas Saturday and the New York Sharks a week later. The Militia have previously defeated the Divas 44-7 on May 19.

The Boston Breakers split their two games over the weekend with a 4-0 Friday night win against FC Indiana and a 1-0 loss Sunday night against the Chicago Red Stars. The Breakers played both games on the road and are now 5-1 on the season.
