Green Line extension meeting scheduled
Confused by all of the chatter regarding the MBTA’s planned Green Line Extension project? You’re in luck.
City planners will present their community-driven visions for the future highlighting the Green Line extension’s impact on several Somerville neighborhoods–including Ball Square, Magoun Square and Gilman Square–6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Somerville Armory, located at 191 Highland Avenue.
The Somerville by Design presentation comes after an initial visioning session in October and a two-day workshop in November.
“The MBTA Green Line is being extended to Somerville and our residents and business owners have a unique opportunity to make the neighborhoods around the Green Line stations more accessible and more attractive,” organizers explain.
Somerville By Design is funded in part by a grant from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Sustainable Communities program.
