Public Meeting Scheduled to Discuss Conway Park Contamination

SOMERVILLE – On Wednesday, December 19th, the City of Somerville will be holding a
public information meeting to discuss the conclusion of remediation work at the Conway Park/
15A Bleachery Court site with a release tracking number of 3-11753. The meeting will focus
on the work described in Release Abatement Measure (RAM) Completion Statement dated
July 26th, 2012. The City will update the community on the activities related to managing any
contaminated soils at the site which occurred during the construction of the new skating rink.
The public will also have an opportunity to provide comments.
The meeting will be held at the Somerville Public Library-Central Branch, located at 87
Highland Ave on December 19th, 2012, beginning at 6:30. An information repository for
documents related to the remediation activities that have occurred at the 15A Bleachery Court
site has been created. A printed copy of these documents is located at the Somerville Library-
Central Branch, in the second floor information area. While these documents cannot be checked
out, they are available for viewing during normal library hours. The information is also located
online at http://www.somervillema.gov/departments/ospcd/economic-development/bcrlf.
The City will also accept written comments on this matter. Written comments on the Release
Abatement Measure (RAM) Completion Statement dated July 26th, 2012 will be accepted until
